Therapeutic Coaching is a safe place

to gently explore “stuff and things”

like unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and behaviours.

Everything we need is already in us

and from a resourced place life’s inevitable ups and downs can be taken

in our stride.

The work is to have conscious awareness of the unhelpful patterns that we unconsciously run,

to retrain our minds, and to know how to calm

the nervous system with specific techniques.

The aim is more inner peace and a feeling of self-empowerment.

Together we look at where you are now, where you want to go, and what’s getting in the way from your past.


When we explore with curiosity, it‘s possible to release, heal, shift, or unblock parts of ourselves that are stuck in unhelpful belief, thought, and behaviour patterns.


We also explore resourced states of being. What is the recipe for this best version

of self?

ABOUT ME


I’m lucky to enjoy a varied and interesting career doing things I love. I’m enthusiastic about what I do.


I’ve worked in the creative industries, had a design shop, curated exhibitions, worked in art galleries, and more recently co-authored two books on dyslexia with Kathy Forsyth.

The Illustrated Guide to Dyslexia and Its Amazing People, and The Bigger Picture Book of Amazing Dyslexics and The Jobs They Do.


At first glance, my jobs may seem unconnected to Therapeutic Coaching, but the common thread is advocating for others whether it be promoting great ideas, art & design, highlighting the good stuff that comes from thinking differently, or helping people explore their inner worlds and finding their voice.

CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME


In March 2020, on day 2 of lockdown, I got Covid. I was frightened and floored by Long Covid & CFS. Determined to get better thankfully I discovered Alex Howard, the Super Fatigue Conference, and Therapeutic Coaching, and my life changed for the better. Those two very hard years have had such a positive impact, I have learned so much about my mind and body.


Now fully recovered I am loving learning in my fifties, and look forward to continuing this process whilst working with others and sharing the knowledge that has worked so well for me.


My favourite things are connection with my family & friends. Sunshine, blue skies, the beach & walking (not running) in nature. Slow yoga (Hatha, Yin & Nidra), meditation, learning new things, self-development, the infrared hot mat. Great food, art, design, architecture, film, fashion.

Neuro-linguistic Programming uses language to explore negative and disempowering thoughts and beliefs to shift mental blocks, and to anchor in more helpful resources.


By understanding the language of our minds we can understand our own internal programme, our model of the world.


We can then see how our issues and obstacles are created, and what needs to happen to transform them.


Hypnotherapy deepens our inner focus and relaxation helping to enable the unconscious mind to be open to changing hard-wired automatic unhelpful patterns.

Developmental psychology acknowledges that we are shaped and influenced by experiences in childhood and throughout our life.


This understanding helps to identify the underlying root causes of our difficulties.

Mindfulness helps to calm and slow our system,

to deeply connect to and feel our body.


It brings the focus to the present moment while acknowledging and accepting the feelings, thoughts, and sensations experienced.

Emotional Freedom Technique is also known as EFT and tapping.


Tapping is a powerful tool to work with difficult memories, negative emotions, and recurring problems.


The basic technique is to gently tap on 9 specific meridian points on your head and upper body. These points are acupuncture points along the meridian lines in Chinese medicine. You tap while maintaining your mental focus on a specific issue, the tapping sends a calming signal to your brain and nervous system.


You can use EFT alone, or guided with an app like Tapping Solutions. It is an effective tool to help you quickly

self-soothe and calm your system.


Alternatively, you can work 1-to-1 with me, during sessions you tap into your unique experience of your presenting troubling issue to gain clarity and resolution.
